Does the dakine heli pack 11L have enough space to carry all the necessary gear for backcountry. If not what is the smallest size that allows you to carry all of it.

It'll carry a shovel, probe, some water, and a few extras like some food. Not much beyond that. For resort sidecountry it's pretty ideal. For all day backcountry excursions, you'll probably want something bigger.
