Helmet and Travelbag

Hey guys, in light of getting more serious about a new setup, the last things I need some help with are a good inexpensive travel bag for a 181W board and a good inexpensive helmet.

Please don't turn this into a Helmet debate thread, I've had two concussions (one with helmet, one without) and would like to take any steps I can to prevent further injury.

There is no magic ju-ju with helmets. The low end (~$30-$65) are skate helmets that usually do not have snow/ski features (like ear coverings or goggle shelves). The mid-to-upper end ($70-$120) are standard helmets, Above that you get things like swappable liners and headphones, adjustable vents, etc.

No one in the US rates the efficacy of snow helmets. The most common ones in use today are compressed-styrofoam core 1-use helmets that are intended to be replaced after sustaining a critical hit. I have used skate helmets and snow helmets on the hill. The snow helmet are usually more comfortable.

Thanks for the help. Picked up a Giro snow helmet of some type (lower end) for $50.

Still looking for a bag, needs to fit one 181 board with bindings, and be safe enough for me to check it when I fly.
