Von Zipper Dojo articulated hinges

So I bought a Von Zipper Dojo in Lemondrop colors. According to the description it should have articulating hinges, but mine don't seem to be working, which makes it really hard to wear the goggles with a helmet. I tried to force the hinges open but it wouldn't work. Does anyone know how it works?

I bought these goggles to have better peripherals than my Porkchops, but without the hinges it barely stays on my face correctly.

It looks like it should be articulating, maybe its just stuck?

Edit: The guy in video here for the '09 Dojos says it doesn't have a hinge so maybe its a wrong description. The evogear description says its helmet compatible but I could not find any pictures of the hinge actually being open so it may be an under the helmet fit?

According to this they should?

Because as it is right now, it just pushes down a bit because it cannot get a good fitting, which restricts my nose and breathing. Without the helmet there's no problem, but I hardly go boarding without a helmet.
