Stupid question but.....Elastic thingy attached to my glove, anyone know its function ?

those can go around your wrist or thru the little keeper loops inside the wrists of alot of jackets so that you can just drop your gloves when you take them off to fiddle with shit and they don't fall in the snow or off the lift.

+1 I've always heard them called idiot straps. And they're very handy on the lifts. Nothing sucks more that having to ride down bare-handed to find your glove because a) gloves never fall on trails, only in the woods, b) gloves don't fall unless it's below -30 and c) gloves never fall near the trail you were going to ride.

these guys nailed it ^^^^ slide the barrel up the strap toward the glove, stick your hand through the loop and then slide the barrel down to your wrist. Viola, now you cannot drop your glove.
