what does the VLT number on lenses mean?

here is what im looking at. Im considering picking up a pair of I/OS this year but was wondering what lenses to have in them. was probably going to order them with one lens and buy a spare lens as well.

according to wikipedia:

Visible Light Transmittance, the percentage of visible light that passes through a window or material
