I use my iPhone, but when I gets too cold it turnes off, what are other good options or should I just throw one of thoes heat packs in the same pocket?

Phone.

It shouldn't be turning off if it gets too cold. The cold will negatively impact battery life though. Throw it on airplane mode to make it last longer.

I was riding in -4 (-20 C) and had a full battery and it died, telling me my battery was dead, until I warmed it up at the end of the day the phone is also bran new

i keep mine in a pocket in my mid layer and it stays warm

I have a dumbphone, so I use an Ipod Nano. I keep mine in my breast pocket and never have battery issues, but then again I don't ride in below freezing temps on a regular basis (doesn't mean I haven't though).

ipod touch. Need to get an inline remote that works with it but haven't found anything since its a first generation one.

Same here, Ipod nano with an inline remote. I keep it in an inner pocket with a long playlist going. Never had a battery issue at any temperature
