I am looking for new goggles that wont make my eyes tear up.
I currently have spy goggles and when i ride fast my eyes tend to water little bit so i have to slow down. Are there goggles that are better at sealing air out? I wear contacts so that may also be a part of problem. What do those downhill racers wear they must go down much faster than i am. Any suggestions? |

Sealing the air out of your goggles will cause fogging which is why most companies these days are trying to vent the goggles as opposed to keeping the air out.
Something you might be able to try is to tape up some of the venting either on the top or bottom of your current goggles or a combination of the two to see if that helps (yes you may look like a douche while doing this). At this point you could either ride with your taped up goggles or perhaps go to a store and look for a pair that have a similar sort of venting configuration. Sorry, I dunno how helpful that was, but its an option. |

does the goggle fit you fine? I know that when I wear my Dragon Rogue goggles if I don't wear a bandana around my nose/mouth/cheek area there's a spot where the goggle doesn't hug my skin and air can get through. If the air is coming in not from the vents, it's probably because either the goggle doesn't fit you and is letting air in from somewhere. Of course if its air from the vents just tape those like said above but i've never met anyone who had problems with too much air coming in from vents.
![]() EDIT: The contacts you are wearing might be making your eyes dry out faster, my friend wears contacts and he says that's what happens to him and he has to blink like crazy to stop from tearing up |
