Which jacket should I get?

Ok, my 1st post here. So here I go. I'm living in Singapore so it is summer all year long. No way I can get good advice here in Singapore.

Total snowboarding experience of 5 days. So I'm expecting my upcoming trip to the High1 resort in Korea to be full of splats.

I bought this Burton AK 2L Cyclic pants from ebay hoping gore-tex will save me from a wet ass.

The question is, should I pair that up with the Burton AK 2L Cyclic jacket or will a Sessions Ignition jacket make do?

Or do you guys have some other jackets to recommend to pair with the pants I bought?

I finally bought my jacket. It's a Burton AK 2L Stagger. My 1st ever snowboard jacket and pants.

From what I read of the forums, some of you guys swear by gore-tex.

I'm not a frequent snowboarder. Likely only 2 weeks at most per year. So I'm really hoping these can last me for years.

since you want them to last....

read and follow the care instructions. contrary to popular belief GTX is MEANT to be washed. That doesn't mean u wash the shit out of it :D. I'll wash mine every 10-15days used or so.

Well since they have a lifetime warranty i'd say they'll probably last you for as many years as you want them to!

Ok, gore-tex should be washed and dry tumbled. Thanks!

I'm assuming that I should wash with this Nikwax tech wash, dry it and I can safely store it away for another year.

Dunno about the lifetime warranty though. Do people actually managed to get it replaced if it tore? :dunno:
