I did this review http://www.snowboardingforum.com/equ...knee-pads.html last year. Never had an issue with them touching my boot tops. I am 6ft and even if you are shorter the part that may overlap is thin spandex. You can also use the elbow pads on your knees and vice versa, only difference is the lenghts really.

Give serious considertion to these ProTec IPS Rail Guards for Knee/Shin (Pair) CLOSEOUT
They're just the right size for the padding to end at the top of the boot. Hard shell with padding underneath. Shell is removable. I wear them all day and forget they're on.
