Anyone have any views? These shells caught my eye...

Dakine Snowboard : Mens Zone Jacket

Dakine Snowboard : Mens Piston Jacket

I know they are only 15k but that's not necessarily a deal-breaker for the amount/type of riding I am expecting to do this season. They look well-designed and styling is clean etc.

15k/10k is pretty solid. Not sure where or what type of riding you're trying to do, but those look like pretty sweet jackets to me.

Maybe a tad overpriced for just a shell but I've always loved Dakine gear. I just picked up a pair of their gloves a month ago.

Mainly at Tahoe, maybe try to get down to mammoth for a trip too. I won!t be doing any crazy backcountry riding - I,m still learning. This will be my second full season. 15k waterproofing probably good enough for what I need. Like the styling on these a lot. Clean and simple. But yeah, maybe a wee bit overpriced?

Tried it on and they seemed nice (in the store at least) but way overpriced. For that price it should be 20K+ or a membrane like DryQ, Gore, etc... Wouldn't even consider it unless it was 40/50% off or something.
