Burton wheelie gig Bag

Hi,

I have a Burton wheelie gig bag for my snowboard since last year.
But I was wondering if it is recommanded to put the bag on a roof of a car if you have to drive 1200km ( which of those are partly thru Germany) with it? Is there much chance the bag wouldn't survive it? Or worse, the snowboards that are in the bag wouldn't survive it?

Thanks on advance

I have the Burton Wheelie big snowboard bag (for 156) from last year. You pull it basically via a tough fabric handle at the opposite end of the wheels. This year I think they have a modified version where the handle is an extensible aluminium. Either case , I would not place it on the top of the vehicle if I could avoid it. The dirt if picks up would stain your carpet either at home or in your resort hotel room.

I do this on 200 km trips without issue, the only thing is if roads are wet and salty the bag would get very dirty.
