BERN Audio Helmet Problems

Hey guys so last year almost exactly i got this helmet.
Amazon.com: Bern Watts EPS Helmet: Sports & Outdoors
So the audio liner is detachable and suddenly the right ear stopped working. i did some investigating and found that this is incredibly common but still a pain in the ass!
So what should i do - the warranty is a year from purchase date so i am out of that. I heard that skullcandy makes things you can put into the helmet so i was considering trying that route. or should i try to find another bern audio kit on like amazon?

replacement liner is $50.00.......

the skullcandy earpieces that smith sells for their helmets fit perfectly on bern helmets

THERE ARE SPECIFIC REASONS AS TO WHY I AM MORE LOCAL THAN YOU

I would try contacting Bern. I had great experience w/ there customer service department. They even covered the 2 day shipping for the right audio piece before receiving my returned item!!
