While I have not tried them, the M2's have 8 magnets vs. the M1's 6. The M1's always felt flimsy to me compared to Airbrakes and O/I's and I believe the M2's have addressed this issue. The magnets are a great concept but I personally prefer Oakley's and Smiths because of the frames but the Blue Lagoon lens for the M1's is one of my favorites. I am excited to see how the new M2 frame is because they look great. Hope that helps.

In my last post I was referring to the fact that the Oakleys and Smiths are more rigid frames where the Anon, to me, feels more rubbery. I am sure others can add more subtle differences but Smiths and M2's are frameless and the Airbrakes and M1's have more traditional frames that surround the lenses.
