DC Gamut womens jacket - worth the money?

I recently got a DC Spectrum jacket for a bargain price (on auction), and am very happy with it for what i paid. My wife also took a liking to the style and wants one for herself but the womens version (Gamut), is hard to find at a decent price (the colour she wants is currently on sale for $120, then taxes etc)

Since i only paid around $70 for mine, i dont mind the fact that it feels so thin (mind you it doesnt feel cold), or that it has only a couple of pockets. But at $135 that i will be paying for my wife's version i see a lot of other insulated jackets with heaps of pockets etc. But she wants the DC because *its cute*

Is the material/quality of these jackets deserving of the price premium? Admittedly the waterproofness etc seems to be great on my Jacket, but it certainly doesnt feel as 'expensive' as the North Face jacket i was using until now
