McDavid HexPad Pants

Purchase Demon Flex Force Long Padded Pants | Padded Pants | All Sport Protection

sorry i couldnt figure out how to get the pictures uploaded so if you could please click on the links to check them out :/

i was wondering if anybody has had experience with any of these two or if theres anybody who could give me some advice on any of this, im new to the whole protection pants/shorts idea

i kind of prefer to have full length or at least below the knee just so i could also have some knee pads and i just find it comfortable/warmer

thanks guys!

I've got the flex force pro upper, and plan on getting the lower when I find it for the right price (I'm cheap)... For me the shorts seem useless, I don't fall on my ass much, it's my knees and lower legs that need it now.

I haven't looked at the other one you mentioned, but if the flex force pants are anything like my jacket, they'll fit well and be comfortable to wear all day. Only thing is mine SMELLS! I stink like a hockey bag after a day on the hill, which is moderately worse than normal.

yeah i agree with you, i want pants or at least up to calf length so i get that knee pad in. yeah 100 bucks is a bit steep but im not familiar with this type of apparel so im not really sure if they go on sale either..

i like the mcdavid one because it's a lil low profile but i have a feeling some might feel that its a bit useless because it might not provide the protection on falls because the padding might not be as firm/thick as some higher profile padded pants

any help is appreciated! thanks in advance

I have a pair each of these:

Amazon.com: Hillbilly Impact Shorts: Sports & Outdoors

impact shorts, crash pad, hip protector, skele-shorts

And a pair of these:

Troy Lee Designs/Shock Doctor Knee Guards

The hillbilly pads are decent, great tailbone protection, not too bulky, but there's a spot where the top of my thigh bone connects to my hip that isn't covered. I've fallen on it in icy conditions, always the same side, and almost every time the hillbilly pads are just not quite in the right spot.

I switched to the Skeletools this year, and while yes they are bulky, wow they work well. Also switched from volleyball knee pads to the Troy lee ones with shin guards in them. The Troy lee ones, at least for me, fit perfectly from where the Skeletools stop down to the top of my boots. Great combo.
