Fire, the black really is to dark for anything but the sunniest of bluebird days.

Pretty much that. Actually, they are both too dark for anything but bluebird days - last year I used my Fire lens at most a handful of times out of >100 days. Lots of people wear them because they look cool, but most of the other lens tints are actually much better for riding.

Actually I have another goggle for super overcast days, foggy days but I want my goggle to be versataile for days when weather is unpredictable ot there is a glimpse of sun.I mean my the weather in US Open 2013 or X Games Tignes this year.I realised Torstein wears usually black irirdium for overcast days?
Super confused right now...

It is really very simple: Most other lens tints are far superior to both the Black and Fire Iridium with variable/unpredictable conditions because these two are far too dark for anything other than bright sunshine.
Look at something like Persimmon (HI or regular), VR50, or maybe Blue Iridium.

Persimmon is good all round.

If you have that plus yellow you are set.

Fire iridium looks cool but rarely do you have bright enough day for it.

I use fire for the morning then switch it to a plain old clear at night.

Depends on where you live. We have either snowy cloudy and dark days which get yellow or orange lens...... Then we have sunny days which I use fire. Love the fire but when the sun is setting ill swap them out. This year I'm gonna use blue with mirror for days I'm riding into the darker times which I have found to be a great mid level lens.
