use of super 8

i have been seeing the use of super 8 and other old cameras popping up a lot recently.
Im just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this.
i personally enjoy the effect and have been playing with the idea of getting one myself. also where would i do that..

I can't remember if it's Super 8 or 16mm that needs to be sent off for development/post production. Your best bet for finding a camera is a pawn shop/craigslist/your grandparents.

Now if you're using the digital Super 8 filter. It has its time and place and has to be used correctly. Shooting urban rails is a no no, shooting pow then yes. Lighting is also an issue.

It never hurts to play with it and figure out how it works and if you like working with it.

What makes you say that using Super 8 on rails is a no no? Idk maybe you're right but i feel like it could be pretty sick.
