Charlie Wilson's War (2007)

Just wanted to make sure you saw the right movie.

Thanks for correcting me.

You know, Hart's War, Charlie Wilson's War....same difference.

Sorry Snowolf...

Edit: I wanted to add, Charlie Wilson's War is an outstanding movie that I think anybody interested in politics and/or government spending will find very interesting and at the same time eerily scary.

No worries, although I'd be lying if part of me wasn't laughing at picturing Sno, an hour into the movie, yelling at his television, "This isn't even in fawking Afghanistan!"

Or squabbling with the t.v. over the validity of events, and googling the shit out of it so as to have a basis for argument

I second Lord of War. fucking eye-opening how some governments deviously conduct business through the arms traders while giving the appearance they are maintaining international laws. I believe the film was based on a Russian arms dealer who was caught in Thailand a while back and currently fighting extradition to the U.S.

yea, you're right. I initially understood the film to be based on Bouts activities but that clearly isn't so.
