Yeah, I am not impressed at all with him. If someone better comes up in 3 years, I'll vote for that person. But I highly doubt that the retardicants can find anyone that doesn't have a silver spoon shoved up their ass and a question mark engraved on their forehead.

No seriously though, both him and Mcain are POS's. I just voted for Mcain, because I figured he'd be more gun friendly. This last election was the choice of two turds.

I'm afraid the next one, isn't going to be any better.

I'm telling you Snowolf, this shit is never gonna change except with the RESET button. As bad as that would be, I think it might be the only hope for ever turning this giant Shit Storm Political Machine around

No, you are reading right...in spite of what it may appear on face value, I am not blinded by a party. I have a set of political values (granted you would disagree with them) and that is Socialism. We can sit and debate about that and in the end probably find some common ground.

Some things however, to me transcend political bent and one of those things should be foreign policy. Since the 50`s, both Republican and Democratic administrations have engaged in interfering with other nations to our own detriment. A quick look at our own recent history of involvement easily shows where today`s terrorism comes from. We planted the seeds and are now reaping the harvest. From the overthrow of Iran`s democracy in 1953, to Iran Contra, to the games we played in Afghanistan when the Soviets invaded to today`s bullshit. All of it is always centered around Oil and other Capitalist agenda`s.

If this nation has a snowball`s chance in hell of surviving for much longer, we had better start paying attention to the past and start learning from it. This recent sham with Karzai is us repeating the same bullshit. We once again are going to prop up a "government: that the people of the region don`t want and detest. We are now no longer really dealing with an Al Qaeda threat in Afghanistan but another damned insurgency because Karzais government is utterly corrupt and the tribal nature of the region rejects his totalitarianism and they are fighting back against it with our soldiers stuck in the middle of it.

President Obama ran on this idea of Change and myself as well as other progressives dare to hope that just maybe, just this once this guy was different. From the way he picked his cabinet with Goldman and Sachs types and war mongers from the previous administration to renewing the policy of extraordinary renditions, to renewing the warrantless wiretapping of all Americans under the Patriot Act to his complete waffling on health care, I feel betrayed by this guy.

I am still willing to hold on to a little shred of hope that he has a plan, but everyday it is looking more and more like he is just another bought and paid for politician and the Haliburton`s, Rand`s, Black Water`s, Citigroups, Goldman Sach`s, Kaiser Permanente`s, Etna`s, Humana Health`s and Wal-Mart`s of the geocorporate world are really our slave masters. We truly no longer live in a Democratic Representative Republic; we for all intents and purposes live in a Plutocracy or possibly even an Oligarchy....

In the end it matters not whether we have Democrats or Republicans in the House, the Senate or in the White House. They are all corporate whores for sale to the highest bidding lobby and no matter the outcome, "We the People" are the ones getting screwed.

Yeah, I am really starting to get on board with the idea of Dennis Kucinich running against him in the 2012 Primary. Unless things with Obama start showing some real progress and he starts acting like the true liberal we thought he would be, I don`t know if I can even be bothered to vote at all in 2012....what would be the point? The whole Afghan situation is really starting to look like another Vietnam.

In the 50's the French couldnt beat the Vietnamese so they pulled out and America comes in sinks a load of lives and moeny into Vietnam. Puts in a puppet. That fails and it all goes to sh!t.
In the 80's the Russians get their asses handed to them in Afghanistan so they pull out. America again comes in trying to fix things up. Puts in puppet and now they are trying to win another unwinnable war.

I think the US are in a tough position. If they go in and screw it up they get sh!t put on them and if they stay out of it they have sh!t put on them.
I can't see way out of it. Such a waste of lives and resources.

You are quite right, but it goes even farther and is even more sinister than that. We created the Taliban and Al Qaeda. In the late 1970`s and throughout the 19801 while the Soviets were attempting to conquer Afghanistan, we trained and armed the Mujahideen and Osama Bin Ladden was on the CIA payroll. They became the Taliban and Al Qaeda after the Soviets left and we then abandoned Afghanistan and never lived up to our promises.

Hell, in August of 2001, the Bin Ladden`s and the head of the Taliban were at Bush`s ranch to "discuss" this Trans Afghan Pipeline that Unocal was heavily invested in and Hamid Karzia was Unocal`s top adviser on that project. The only reason we went to war in Afghanistan was because the Taliban refused to deal on this pipeline. It is no accident that Hamid Karzai is the "president" of Afghanistan now.........

I hate these people and I hate what they have dome to my country. They have turned America into the world`s top terrorist nation...

And now, Barrack Obama has chosen to continue the insanity......
