The intent of this forum is to provide a place for discussion, debate and rants about all things political without posting in the general off topic forum. Many people do not like to read or talk about political subjects so this provides us political hacks a place to rant, rave and belly ache about how bad these political leaders are screwing up the world. This is the place to promote your candidate, gripe about political leaders and policies. Anything goes in here and lively debate is encouraged. The only hard and fast rule and the survival of this forum depends upon this; is to keep the debate civil, respectful and on topic. Absolutely no flaming or personal attacks will be tolerated. When posting, be prepared to back up your facts with sources. If posting an opinion, recognize that not everyone will share that opinion and accept other points of view as being part of a healthy democracy.

There was originally a lot of resistance to the creation of political forum on this site because of the way political forums have caused problems on other sites. The nature of this community has convinced the staff that we are a above and beyond the "My-space mentality" and that we can all handle open discussion of controversial subjects in a mature manner. There will be no censorship of subject matter, but abusive communication will be deleted without question. Now that we have this, let`s all show respect to the other members of our community by not posting political topics in any other forum.
