MPD - please try to understand.

in a world free of prejudice, inequality or bigotry it is said (as i am sure you have heard before) that people are blind to colour, gender, disability or whether you ski or snowboard etc.

with a sense of equality, altho people are clearly individual and different in many various ways, others simply do not notice it, let alone mention it or act with regard to it.

your statement is condescending, because nobody needs or even wants you to certify that women are 'very smart and capable' or 'can do fine without the male'.

nobody required your reassurance that you 'know them well' (frankly i think females are too complex for you!).

and nobody with a genuinely unchavenistic view on life would take the time to even think about, let alone post figures of the gender ratios within their working lives. but you did.

you are not blind to such matters; not because that is reality, but because you are being you. it is your own little version of affirmative action... i think you see yourself as some kind of benevolent Lothario; but you are in a world that no longer has any need for such.

if you want to support Palin, or Clinton or anyone, then fine.... but do so because of their policies, not because of their lack of a Y chromosome!

I don't like Palin either. She is worthless. However, you're just making noise. Who cares if there was a .5 million loss? She the governor not a used plane salesmen.

The issue (at least to me) is`nt the loss or profit. It is the lie. Here McCain is now trying to sell himself as the champion of "change" now that it is fashionable as a result of Obama`s success running on the idea. Now we have a VP pick who is lying and the lie is then repeated by MCain. How in anyone`s imagination does that indicate "change" in Washington? it looks an awful lot like "more of the same" from the same party that has spent the last 7 and half years destroying everything that was good and noble about our country.

As an afterthought, it could actually be a matter of concern. McCain, by his own admission has stated that, "he does`nt understand economics as well as he should" well then he might want a running mate who does and she obviously does`nt.
