Default Obama Campaign Fundraising Challenge

I have taken on a fund raising challenge to try to raise $1,000 for Barack Obama before November 4 2008. I have a profile on Barack Obama`s official website where you can make a secure donation online. Anyone who understands how important it is to ensure the victory of Obama/Biden, I am asking you to donate any amount you can afford; even if it`s only one dollar.

The recent scientific report regarding the actual projected 11 degree rise in global temperatures and increasing CO2 emissions, have scientists shocked and terrified. On this issue of Climate Change alone, it is crucial to elect an American Leader who believes in science and will re engage America with the rest of the planet to attempt to find solutions to this crisis. A 4 degree rise in Earth`s temperature equates to an environment similar to the Jurassic Period; an 11 degree increase is predicted to be nearly the end of all life on this planet.

L.A. Times

With regard to foreign policy and the growing instability of the world, we must turn away from the cowboy diplomacy we have seen from the Bush administration and will see from the McCain/Palin Administration. Sarah Plain`s total lack of experience, education and qualifications to take on the role of president,Along with her extremist Dominionist religious views, leaves our nation and the world vulnerable in too many ways. I seriously view this decision as a choice between preventing eventual nuclear war and exacerbating one.

So, please, go here and donate any small amount if you truly care what kind of world you hand down to your children.

Ummm administrator could you please delete this thread. I dont believe soliciting donations on a snowboard site should be allowed. particularly for such a loosing cause...

now if you do wish to donate to a good cause here is a good site.

Just a warning, if you donate even a dollar you will be forever on the list of campaign fund raising spam mail. Forever and ever. And they send a LOT of junk mail.

^ Yup. Though if you're gonna get on someone's list, get on the Republicans. They send you nice glossy photos of Reagan and random crap like that. The democrats mailings just try to guilt you into giving instead.

/Not dumb enough to be on either.

Actually, I donated to Kerry in 2004 and I have not been barraged with junk mail from that. Same with signing up on Obama`s site. Not one single peice of spam mail. It`s not a question of "being dumb enough" rather giving a shit enough...
