Another great pick...

Mr. Obama, Timothy Geithner for Treasury Secretary??? Really???? You want him to be in charge of the US Treasury/IRS? He is supposed to be the smartest man for the job, in your eyes and he can't even pay his own taxes, not once but four times! Yeah he paid them when he was informed that he up for the gig but come on. Obama's selections, and not just one, have substantial questionability. It just seems to be too much of a coincidence.

Your opinions on it are??????

An honest mistake????

Tell me why a guy who asked Obama a simple question got mobbed and prodded and attacked by the media. He asked a question and then it was ON! Last time I checked he didn't pay around 2,000 dollars in taxes and he was shredded. Up and down the board he was made to look like an unamerican, piece of shit, wanna be-not licensed plumber. I think it was good ole Joe Biden that said it was unpatriotic to not pay taxes. Now that the shit hit the fan in their own party, the liberals are covering up and dismissing the SAME thing they bitched about 2-3 months ago. :dunno:

Oh,

You say the market went up when it was known he was selected? For how long? I thought the market has closed, DOWN, for the last two weeks. If things were looking up to the people investing in the market, wouldn't it start to stabilize and gain ground? This guy KNEW he had to pay taxes. The IMF pays all their employees in gross, "and then every quarter they have to file estimated taxes based on their earnings for that quarter or a percentage of their previous year's earnings divided by four, whichever is the most advantageous for you. And they get statements every quarter, four times a year, explaining what their approximate tax is based on how much they've been paid. He knew all of this. He just chose not to pay it. He just chose not to pay it, but you know what else they did at the IMF? According to Byron York at National Review Online, the IMF grossed up all of their employees that are paid the gross."

"The IMF grossed up the amount of taxes employees would owe so that their actual pay was a net, not a gross. And he still claimed ignorance. They sent out memos all the time from the IMF to their employees, they had a manual explaining all of this. He's the only one that understands the recovery, he's the only one that can fix our recovery, he's too big to fail, it's an innocent mistake, it's a mistake a lot of people make. I would love for Obama to give me the same kind of tax holiday that Geithner got. I wish the whole country could get that same kind of tax holiday that he got. This guy intentionally evaded his taxes, it was not an honest mistake, the party of taxes has to start taking responsibility for it. Whether Lindsey Graham likes it or not, we put up with Charlie Rangel as a crook now running the Ways and Means Committee. He should be thrown out of office. There's no reason to promote a guy who purposely didn't pay his taxes."

haha

thats all im saying man. this craziness and seemingly corrupt administration is seemingly endless. It almost seems that half of obamas picks are dealing with some sort of "fuck up." idk much, but i do know that obama can do no wrong in the media's eyes and that is fishy. I have a question.....when, if ever, can we start criticizing obama, in comparison with, say bush and not be considered racist. It just seems to be inevitable that any critique will be called racist by the media. just something to think about i guess, even though this isnt even along the lines of this thread.

of course

he didnt hire attorneys...he didnt have too. can you imagine if a republican was in the same situation? he would have to hire 200 attorneys. it just seems to be a double standard. anything that goes wrong, as long as it doesnt hurt the 'plan' is swept over and forgot about by the next story.

im new to all this. do you write your senator and statemen? how do you go about it? just curious and you obviously have a head on your shoulders...not saying its legitimate lol:laugh: jk
