Marijuana Legal/Tax in California?

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/09-10/...introduced.pdf

So they are trying to pass a bill that makes it legal to use and grow marijuana in California for people over 21. It will be taxed bringing in all kinds of money Thoughts? Sounds like a perfect budget fixer for me we'll be out of our economic troubles in no time!

I'm being absolutely serious...
Legalize weed, legalize prostitution and legalize gambling... we'll have state surpluses by the end of the year. Plus, with legalized prostitution, you can get them off the street, clean it up and regulate it. Less hookers goin' to jail takin' up tax payer money. Legalized gambling so you can tax it... no-brainer. The money to be made is ridiculous.

But all that stuff would hurt Jesus's heart.

I think I speak for myself when I say that I totally don't even care a little bit. They elected the Terminator to office. I'm really just hoping a massive quake will sink the entirety of California into the ocean. That way my state will have a coast on two sides.

Seriously, if the entire state turned into Haight Ashberry I would drive through just for a good laugh.

marijuana already seems pretty legal to me as it is...this is just a technicality that will make alot of people happy and less paranoid.

-but still, I say it won't pass, even with the temptation of $$$

I think legislation like this won't be plausible till all the baby boomers are extinct

I don't care if they keep it illegal. I don't smoke the crap.

Only thing I ask is that when they DO bust someone for it, they don't waste my taxpayer money giving the jagoff 3 meals a day and HBO in prison. Fine the crap out of them and put them back on the street. There's your cash flow right there.

Maybe my math is off, but aren't the boomers THE generation of pot-smokers?

Anyways, I'm so down with this. I'd even consider legalizing other drugs with time and serious foresight into how to implement it.
