Well hm1sfidc, I can't say I enjoy the benefit of having your perspective on things in this matter. So whatever has influenced and impacted you into deciding that somehow dead, headless, limbless, and paralyzed people in a country that never declared war on us, never hurt a single American in peacetime, never threatened our security, never met with terrorists, never permitted terrorists within its borders and never had WMD's is better than living and healthy people in that country, I'll accept it as a good reason to you.
I'm trying to understand the 'stay-the-course' perspective. From what I can gather Obama's missing a great opportunity, we could have MORE beheadings, and more maimed, mauled and dead children and soldiers. We could even turn MORE mederate muslims into extremists... if we just stayed the course like real men.
Whatever side you take in this debate, you really have to understand that if Bush hadn't started this 'war' (which still isn't a 'war' is you believe in the constitution) that had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda or the security of the U.S. and everything to do with impressing his Daddy, then we wouldn't even be having this discussion. This war was started by Bush, plain and simple.
^^^^ Fig 1. Bush caused this. I hope his Daddy was impressed or this boy died for nothing.
^^^^Fig 2. Two causes worth dying and killing over.
The moment the first American soldier stepped foot onto Iraqi soil, we lost, and so did Iraq. It's sad when we have to resort to war, it's even sadder when we don't have to resort to war, but a drooling idiot of a prez feels that our soldier's lives are his to do with as he pleases and starts a war anyway.
Call Obama myopic, but he can't even be a fraction as myopic as people who are forgetting who got us into this mess to begin with. So laugh at Obama, because this is such a funny situation that he (and not Bush) has gotten us into, right?
