In a society where any publicity is good publicity this is the kind of crap you get from news outlets. As far as I'm concerned this is the kind of thing that just makes the conservative right of America look like idiots. As a major conservative voice in America Fox should be ashamed to have aired this. But it will only mean more web hits and an increased ratings share for their network in the long run and that is all any of these news networks care about, sad but true.

What, Americans ignorant about anything to do with Canada? NO WAY!!!

I'm not surprised this came from Fox news, since they are of course the pinnacle of objective reporting.

Sadly though, I would bet there is a huge percentage of Americans that were nodding along and laughing with them. Fox has no class and is pathetic in its attempts at humour. Making fun of the last name, "Leslie"? Seriously, are we in grade 4? It's comments like those that make me feel kind of 'meh' about the whole thing.

I know what my country is doing in Afghanistan as do most Canadians, can't say this bothers me all that much.

I just can't muster the outrage as I learned a long time ago that most Americans understand very little about Canada...especially when the people in question are followers of Fox news. It's all the same old, tired jokes, The US invading Canada, our police ride on horses and wear red jackets while chasing criminals, we live in igloos, ski and snowmobile to work, America's hat, haven of terrorists, the bastion of socialism and alcoholism yadayadayada. (OK the last part is from Blackballed: the Bobby Dukes Story) I've traveled extensively in the States and have tried to correct some of the misconceptions, since most don't come from any sort of malicious intent, but from ignorance and a generally egocentric attitude. I care more about how Fox News distorted the entire Iraq war and helped lead a nation into it, than about the opinions they have of Canada. I know the history Canada's military and what they've done to the present day and thus I'll always be proud to call myself a Canadian.

So meh.

Anyone who bases their opinions on Americans on what the guys on the Fox "news" shows do is as big a moron as they are. Those guys are evolutionary dead ends and they represent nothing but the absolute worst that our country has to offer. The only time I ever watched Fox "news" with even a modicum of serious interest was when Jon Stewart appeared on one of their programs and called them dicks. Other than that, they are nothing more than a bunch of rich bigots spewing hate and nonsense and getting paid for it.

I'll personally take the chance to offer my apologies to anyone in Canada, from Canada or to anyone who has so much as heard of Canada. Especially military families. Canada is a wonderful neighbor to have. I personally love visiting. Hell, I spent part of my honeymoon in your country I love it so much. For these idiots to say what they said and try to burn bridges that some of us happen to walk on all the time is shameful.

I dont have time to read the replys, but in my house Fox is considered to republican to watch. I get a good laugh though everything they interview Sarah Palin and assume shes a trained political analyst.

Greg Gutfeld is a Liberal, he graduated from Berkley and used to write for the Huffington Post. Its funny all this outrage over some douche thats on at 2 a.m. on Fox on a comedy/satire show.

You all will bitch and moan about this sort of shit but in the end you will flip on FOX, CNN or MSNBC and be guilty of the same thing. Watching the news outlet that panders to your particular political tastes.
