Not trying to start a big conspiracy theory thread, and I take all these type of videos with a large grain of salt... But there is a new one by Alex Jones' called 'The Obama Deception', which was quite interesting to watch.

It's by the same guy who's made a bunch of films like these. Don't bother watching if you don't have an open mind...

I think you can find the full-version on google videos and/or youtube, but I opted for the higher-quality version downloaded via torrent from mininova.org.

Christ, like Snowolf hasn't already blown one of his cardiac valves already today.

I take Obama at his word personally. He's an insanely intelligent man with clarity of thought and focus worthy of Isaac Newton. That being said, he IS still a human being and can make mistakes. It takes time to turn a ship as big as the U.S. around and put it back on course. He's got the long-term goals in mind. If he can get us 100% energy independent on a pay-as-you-go philosophy with an army of well-educated children to take the helm one day, it doesn't matter what our deficit is, we'll beat the world at its own game and pay it off in weeks.

I don't think an open mind has anything to do with that film. Quite the contrary, it's made by the same narrow-minded folks who scream 'socialism' in response to economic regulation and a progressive tax. You can't have an entire economic philosophy based on greed and then not expect the greed to get out of hand, landing us in the mess we're in now. Greed is human nature, it's hardwired into us just like it's hardwired into the squirrel that stores as many nuts for itself as it can - it's a consequence of natural selection. To deregulate and expect things to work out is as stupid as taking condoms away from kids and expecting them not to fuck like rabbits because you told them not to.

In today's world, no country is an island, it never will be. The best you can do is have the most self-sufficient, benevolent island. This is what he's trying to do.

The biggest problem is the myopic mentality of the typical American idiot, like the folks who made this alarmist film. It's a giant roadblock being put up by the conservatives just as fast as any smart American can knock it down.

He'll be voted out in four years if he doesn't turn the economy around, irregardless of anything else.

Again, the typical myopic American idiot (re: Drill, baby, drill!) doesn't want to accept four more years of hard times now in return for a hundred years of prosperity later. Honestly, very very few countries are interested planning for the future. They don't want to hear his slow-and-steady message: they want their reality TV, microbrews, and striped toothpaste now.

Our kids don't inherit the country from us, we borrow it from them, but the drill-baby-drill crowd has no perspective... tomorrow doesn't exist for them. They'd sooner take a slow, torturous Roman-esque collapse as long as they don't have to be there for the end, screw the kids.

I'd give Obama 8 years of pain to build the country on a solid bubble-free economic foundation to take us the next 10 decades. Most people don't see that far ahead.

Hey Monk 'irregardless' is a not a word. I believe Its referred to as a double negative. regardless will do just fine.. just messin witcha...but its true

If anyone, particularly a limey (in general, not necessarily you Paolo), wants to talk to me about butchering the English language, I'd tell them to talk to someone who spoke Middle English first. Not that there is anyone anymore, but that's why it makes such a good point.

EDIT: I'm American, I speak American (with a slight southern NY accent, proudly). This makes me no worse or better than an Englishman who speakes English... Just that I don't sound as faggy, or as intelligent.

) I have no idea what to believe these days... never seen any of his older stuff about aliens shadow government or satanic cult shit,, but everything in this movie is a lot more believable than that. I definitely have a healthy lack of trust in the government as they have never given me reason to fully trust anything they say. I seriously hope this movie is a crock of shit and Obama proves it all wrong, really.
