Well these is good work which of course doesn't receive anywhere near as much publicity as say.... a vicar asking people to bring flamethrowers to church!

but this is 5 years ago.... so how did it / does it pan out? success?

I personally think that this pastor is taking more than an active role in putting guns into the hands of the religious majority. Dubious? Maybe. But this is not the meek shall inherit the earth. And guns have no place in church, it's in god not guns we trust. I wonder if the ATF knows about this?

snap - did god not give us the power to build guns so as to carry out its will?

afterall if it wanted us to swim the ocean depths, it would have given us gills. but it did not. instead it gave us a pastor offering $1 raffle tickets to win a handgun!

Aren't Catholics technically Christian... it's just a different form of Christianity... kind of like saying your Lutheran. Don't Catholics still believe in Jesus, and God and all that stuff? It's not like Catholics have that much of a different belief... correct.

Catholics are a branch off Christianity, as are Lutherans, Baptists, etc. The original belief just separates itself further and further every time a new denomination forms and branches off the baseline. In fact Christ never even referred to his fellow brethren as "Christians" but rather it's a name that was associated with the Apostles and people who believed after them.

Technically they believe in the same thing yes with Catholics using more of a repetitive ritual method with the routines they do. IMO it's more religious than spiritual. Along with that they pray to St Mary believing that she intercedes on behalf of Christ for the person. And each church here and there even if claiming to be the same denomination or whatever, have their own way of conducting things even if on a small scale.

I myself CCW a Sig 229 on Sundays My Pastor has no problem with it.
