Default 72 year old lady tasered by a cop.

And you know what? I think she deserved it...

Maybe he could have taken a little less of a gruff way to handle it, but she was being pretty unruly and uncooperative. She was warned.

I also like how she told the local news she was being cooperative and didn't resist the police officer at all. What a lying bitch...

allow me to advocate a devilish perspective.....

i fess up from the start i've not seen the clip / article (my poota turns to black when clicking the linky dink) and so i have only the thread title to go on (and people's subsequent posts)....

a 72 year old individual is gonna look quite elderly in appearance no?

now i am not saying that all OAPs are nutters, but there is a reasonable probability that a degree of dementure might have set in no?

it is therefore reasonable to conclude, that such a person has as much control over their language and behaviour as say someone with tourettes no?

and so unless the person receiving the voltage was in direct risk of harming themselves or others, no amount of unruly behaviour ought to justify a tasering.

in couver, a 55 year old knife weilding woman, who was clearly under some form of mental impairment was tasered recently. she had a knife and was threatening people (verbally, not chasing them down the street) and so they shocked her. she smacked her head and is now in the ICU.

i suggest this situation is still inadequate to result in 'shock treatment'. tasers seem too readily relied upon. coppers have no communication skills anymore?

thats it? pushing? come on!

i have had coppers spin me around and place me into an arm lock that made it difficult to push breath from my lungs.

what kinda copper needs voltage to subdue a septuagenarian!!!? i mean if it were a 20 stone mosh pit monster, fair enuff.....

but i will try to see the vid.... some how

yay! seen it, although with no audio. i was expecting to see some goliath wrestler granny woman thunder out of the truck. instead there is a doddery midget, who must weigh less than half that of the donut sucker.

that fat pig is a fat pig and a freaking embarrassment. she might have been beligerent and down right stoopid, but to get electric hooks shot into her..... the copper had already shown the inclination and ability to push her about... would slapping on the cuffs and forcing her to the floor thru pressure point application be so difficult?

shameful, lazy fat pig IMO.

With the amount of resistance this lady was presenting, trying to forcefully cuff her may have resulted in worse injuries. Little hooks and a few thousand volts is no walk in the park, but it might be less damaging than an officer struggling with an 72 yr old women.

About the only real thing is that the officer bumping her out of traffic, could have been done more thoughtfully. He may have diffused the situation to some degree by using a more gentle tact.

You need to either stop dancing in gay cop bars or just go with the flow....

"Action's that left this grandmother feeling anything but great"

Who the fuck writes this corny horseshit dialogue? I swear to god there needs to be some sort of punishment for these writers. I mean if they're going to go on strike then they should at least provide something that doesn't inspire embarrassment in humanity.

I think a fair punishment would be re-routing their large intestine back into their mouths so they can get a taste of the shit they're putting on paper. Along with a tattoo that reads "I write like a fucking tool".
