I wanted to share this because if I didn't read it I wouldn't believe it. That said I am not even going to comment on this at all except OMG WTF!!!

well the inmate is yet to be convicted and remains on trial and so innocent until proven guilty?

and perhaps the 'lavish party' served to make the punishment of the uninvited prisoners a bit more acute, if they could oversee / hear proceedings?

it is strange that the term 'lavish party' can occur in the same sentence as 'prison'... but surely to deny it would be antisemitic?

I want to know the story behind the Imam...according to the story:

"Muslim Imam Umar Abdul-Jamil, who in 2006 had been disciplined for anti-Semitic comments, was docked two weeks' vacation. "

That guy just can't catch a break!

Yeah, NY is really the wrong place for anti-semitic comments. Might as well say the same in Israel.

And here I though nothing would happen, but then again it is election year for the mayor( he's jewish) and so far the backlash from this has been planetary.
