I agree, I don't think he should've locked it. It was a fairly worthless post, but I would've responded with this:
That lady is just as ignorant as you are most likely, which shows that racism is well and alive. There's no law that says people who are commonly discriminated against can't be racist also. would you be so trusting after 350 years of being treated like shit, and then just one generation of "equality"?

Like you, I used to think somewhat the same way as you state here. However it is such a backwards statement and after getting my 'edjamacation' on, I realized this and rejected that viewpoint.

The simple fact here is that 'Racism' is a thought/policy/doctrine/etc. created by the white man to claim ourselves as superior to other people. Not until the white man started specifically targeting Africans as people to steal for slavery was there any evidence of racism in the world. Yes, there were wars between different areas and between different groups of people, but these were for religious reasons, for trade reasons, for reasons of conquest and expansion, but never because the other group had a different skin color or appearance.

Am I saying a person from a minority group can't be a racist? Not at all. But from your statement, I get the feeling you're one who feels like minorities are getting all the advantages and white people are getting a bad rep for no reason. If so, you really have NO CLUE as to the status of racism in the country and it's continued prevalence. If you continue down that path, an image of Glenn Beck's face will forever be branded in my mind as what you look like.

This is a really condensed reply to a topic that I could go on for days about. If you have the opportunity, take an 'Intercultural Communications' class and you just might be blown away at your inner racist. I know I was.
