Do you think we have a cure for cancer, but since cancer makes doctors so wealthy, they wont use it? I am not a conspiracy theorist, but with modern day medicine, we seem to have a cure for everything else but cancer, and its a little odd.

It's amusing when the same people have no faith what so ever in scientists, but then go on to talk about conspiracies about how science already knows how to cure everything but just isn't because big pharma wants to make millions of dollars off of people slowing dying on medicine.

Just because i am a Republican doesn't mean i believe in everything, or represent everything that is involved in it. Both sides are equally guilty of this. And I don't think it's about not having faith in scientists, but not having faith in mankind in general. We're pretty much greedy assholes as a general rule. On those grounds I sort of agree with ATO on this one, if a simple, cheap cure for cancer was found I can't help but believe that the medical industrial giants would at least find a way to make it really expensive. Big tobacco would be thrilled.

You can't make money on a patient after they're dead. If you cure them, they can live on until they get another form of cancer and you get to cure them again. Also the ones who find a cure for any cancer will instantly have immortality status shared by Newton, Einstien, and Leonardo.
