this is what happens when you vote for dumbshits

Report: 'Bin Laden was within our grasp' - CNN.com

They pick dumbshits to run things, and dumbshits are dumb, and fuck things up.

I dunno. Capturing him alive, taking a mundane mug shot, and bringing him to a mundane trial in a hospital-green courtroom in a bright orange prison jumpsuit, and locking him up for life in solitary never to be heard from again would be the best possible victory for the U.S.. There's no symbolism left in him, he's just prisoner #X in an orange jumpsuit in ankle cuffs. He's another number in the system... like everyone else. He eventually dies of old age hooked to a dialysis machine in a hospital bed with white sheets pooping in a bedpan. - he loses.

He dies without being captured, he's defied the West until his death - he wins.

He dies while fighting capture, he's defied the West until his death - he wins.

The window to kill him without him being a martyr is closed forever. Tora Bora was the only chance to show the world 'You fuck with us, we'll find you immediately and kill you.'.

That's my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth.

If they had captured Bin Laden then there would be no more big reason to be in Afghanistan or Iraq. Just a thought

^^ exactly.

Fixed.

We'd still be there. Sticking our noses where they don't believe is a compulsion in the US. When you ask a politician what their foreign policy is, it almost invariably involves who they would go to war with if they were prez.
