I'm not going to pretend to support Moore. I find him to be a hypocritical firestarter in politics. But I do agree with what he says in that specific blog. We definitely need to pull out before Afghanistan gets pregnant.

Obama's domestic issues aside, did I miss the place in that letter where Michael Moore weighed both options? You know, where we pull out of Afghanistan, let the Taliban take over, watch as they give Al-qaeda another safe haven, and then Mike criticizes the U.S. government for doing nothing to stop them when they hit us with the next major terrorist attack?

I could give a fuck less about Afghanistan or the Taliban. Al-qaeda is just as insane, fundamentalist, and unwilling to listen to reason as Beck or Rush... They won't stop themselves.

Obama has been a disppointment.

Afghanistan is complicated though, you need to eliminate the extremists, but I dont think you do this by dropping bombs on them and their families. You do it by reaching out until the extremists become pariahs in their own communities.

Perhaps the military can do it, but it really depends who the officers are, and how much they can control their troops.

The media pretends that the "extremists" are the ones fighting us in Afghanistan, when it's not. It's different tribes who want us out of there.
