Default More conservative talk

BBC News - Why do people often vote against their own interests?

Gore: "Under the governor's plan, if you kept the same fee for service that you have now under Medicare, your premiums would go up by between 18% and 47%, and that is the study of the Congressional plan that he's modelled his proposal on by the Medicare actuaries."

Bush: "Look, this is a man who has great numbers. He talks about numbers. I'm beginning to think not only did he invent the internet, but he invented the calculator. It's fuzzy math. It's trying to scare people in the voting booth."

Showing the differences in approach. Bush won because he used emotions, not facts, to tear down Gore. And it works.

well it's not even that, even the smart enough ones don't like feeling like they're being told how to feel, so like beligerent children (see what i did there) they react in the opposite way and vote against their own best interests. the liberal party has always just sucked at manipulated people, and the conservatives, with religion as an example are excellent at it.

Didn't gore win the popular vote? You can't put the blame on "most" of the american people.

'Tea Party' Fireworks: Speaker Tom Tancredo Rips John McCain, Obama, 'Cult of Multiculturalism' - ABC News

This is too good lol.
'The opening-night speaker, former Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., at first ever National Tea Party Convention ripped into President Obama, Sen. John McCain and "the cult of multiculturalism," asserting that Obama was elected because "we do not have a civics, literacy test before people can vote in this country.'
"This is our country," he told the crowd. "Let's take it back."

I wonder what nationality is Tancredo? Think his family immigrated here from somewhere? You know who this sounds like of course: racist nationalists (aka neo-nazis).

I really would like to meet that guy in a dark alley. Or on a snow slope. What a little slimy piece of ignorant racist shit.
