You know, no system in the world is ever going to be perfect and let`s face it, people love to bitch about things and health care is always going to be a huge source for people to bitch about. While the Brits and the Canucks may bitch about some aspects of their health care, polls show that something line 92% of them when asked, would not even consider giving it up for our for profit system that leaves the working poor and many middle class folks without any coverage.

Truth is most Americans actually favor single payer (not government ran health care, government ran insurance) The problem though is the $billions that the insurance industry is spending on fear mongering about "government takeover". Add to that the insane amounts of money the insurance lobbyists are paying off our Senators and Representatives to obstruct reform.

It is my belief that just like the way it started for Canada, we are going to have to get single payer started at the state level.
