Said it before and I'll say it again. It is absolutely outrageous that it is a felony, or for any law, to take pictures of a public area. Once word gets out to the photography community, if it hasn't already, Obama (administration) has basically lost the vote of MILLIONS due to this policy. I can understand not wanting people to be treading on oil-soaked land, but to make it a crime to take a photo is downright ludicrous. I may be going to Florida to visit family soon, and if I do I will make a side-trip to the panhandle, take photos, post them online, and give a big fuck you to our government
![]() There is a saying, the law is what's popular, not what's right or wrong. Now the law is simply overbearing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZHnStD690U&feature=fvw Last edited by Deviant; 07-12-2010 at 01:33 PM. |

he's more concerned about shaping public opinion than the feelings of a couple photographers mang. he's turned out to be quite the perfect neocon. maybe he should appoint dick to his cabinet to help shape policy.

If his idea to gain a positive public opinion is keeping residents from taking photos of public land, he's got another thing coming. I understand its visual damage control by keeping dying animals from the public eye, but it's going to backfire. Here's a good read if you view the .pdf.. Bert P. Krages Attorney at Law Photographer's Rights Page and a quick comment from that page... Quote:

Hey don't fuck with Dick man, you might find yourself in one of those black bags from V for Vendetta
.Those pictures certainly are an eye opener, clearly this is an attempt to make things look peachier then they are. I actually watched a movie a week ago on a similar topic, the Pentagon Papers. Was about how the Johnson Administration lied and altered information regarding the Vietnam War in order to greatly prolong a stupid situation. Ironically it's the same scenario: A lack of proper actions in order to foster a failing ideality or image.

Obama is a coward, he's all talk with very little action. One speech is all agressive and slams BP when he's at the white house, then when he's at the gulf coast he doesn't have the guts to make a presidential decision.
"Hey Obama, where do you want to go for dinner?" "I don't know, whatever you decide is fine with me". |
