Ultra conservatives being ridiculous and offensive? No way!

I find it ironic that they depict Obama as Hitler, but if one of their progeny ran the country we'd be far more like a Nazi nation than they can imagine. There would be racial and religious intolerance running rampant, but they wouldn't fight it because that is, essentially, what they want.

I don't have anything as reliable, respectable, balanced, and such a fine model of outstanding journalistic integrity as a youtube video of a Fox news report, so I guess I'll just have to settle for posting something in a tea-bagger leader's own words:

The Embarrassing Racist 'Satire' of Tea Party Leader Mark Williams

Remember guys, this was supposed to demonstrate how the Tea Party is NOT racist. That's right, NOT racist.

My point was simply to remind everyone that during the Bush years their were signs which were just as offensive at these protests. Posting videos of offensive signs which have shown up at tea party rallies and relating them to a specific member on this forum is indeed also throwing stones from a glass house.

Your right though, the rest of the video and the title was garbage I didnt even watch it with the volume up, I just grabbed the first video that displayed some of the juicier signs from the protests of years past.

The Free speech zones are wrong in principle as well. Although I do see the value in having seperation between protesters and anti-protesters. In a highly charged emotional environment like that the potential for violence is to great.

Which is why the guys in my home state, Az, packing heat at the rallies should have been removed as well. Im all for carry rights but to me its the same as bringing a gun to bar, a recipe for disaster. Course here in Arizona the legislators dont have seem to have a problem with carrying a gun in a bar.

Although I dont put it past rabid protesters, I've watched many of those videos or the spitting and supposed N-word calling and I frankly dont see it. I'm sorry I dont hear people chanting the N-word and the spitting incident looks more like that guy was yelling through cupped hands and spraying as he was doing so. I know this is argueing semantics at that point but there is a difference, the incident has been characterized in such a way that you think the whole crowd was hawking loogies as they walked in.

Good point about the banter, I'll pull the stick out of my ass.

Obviously we're just rehashing the last discussion. I still disagree with you about the actual number of those extreme elements I'm the tea parties. You are right about the need to marginalize these elements though, the problem is when you attempt to maginalize them you're actually attacking the whole movement. Just as if I was going to do the same for extreme elements on the left, it would be viewed as an attack on the entire group.

The work on this needs to come from within. I would love to see video of these guys getting their asses handed to them by other tea partiers. It just isn't going to happen, but the reason for this is not because they condone it
but rather that they care to much about thier overall message more and are happy for every additional body.

The message really needs to come from the conservative media, but they get so focussed on spinning it that they miss the opportunity to do something really great. Instead of just saying "we don't condone this" (and not all of the conservative media even goes that far) they ought to openly opposing and encourageing oppositition to it.

Blah sorry I rambled, one of the radio guys I listen to just had this discussion so I guess i had rebuttles to his points rattling around in my head. Bottom line is that who gives a fuck, I hate anyone who protests, I'm all for the exchange of ideas not who ever is loudest wins.
