This article would have been interesting enough without the "loot destitute Americans" headline. I guess all those E. Long Island people who are building illegal swimming pools are destitute? That's what I hate about much of the media these days. You might have a perfectly good story but that's not good enough on its own, it has to be spun all the way to its most paranoia-inducing interpretation before it can be made public.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's messed up and possibly illegal for the government to use this type of technology to tell if I've got my weeds trimmed. But it doesn't make me feel any less "safe" than I did before, and it has failed to convince me that the government is out to get all the poor folk as seems to be the real purpose of the article- as opposed to simply keeping people informed.
