YouTube - Obama warns Americans of covert sponsored manipulation of peoples opinion!

I don't agree with Obama much, but I completely agree with him on this. Corporations shouldn't be allowed to buy elections.

the argument presented was that forcing the corporations to reveal themselves is a restriction on the free speech of the corporation. what a load of bullshit. Then the most common argument that conservitards make is that corporations, made up of people, should be allowed to have a voice. wrong. every person has their own voice, and 1 vote.

Not only should corporations not be treated similarly to people, they should be strictly policed to see that they are NOT trying to flex their influential muscles. I'm not technically anti-corporation, but I am certainly against integrating them into our political structure as any kind of singular entity.

That cracks me up, who the hell decieded that it wasn't a conflict of interest to have board members of corporations in Congress or other political positions. Corporations have so much power now, they can get together and pass any bill they want. Shit, they've been doing it for a while.

Ala Dick Cheney. Go Go Halliburton. It is nice knowing that the man in charge of the nation's energy policy was doing so with millions of dollars of oil money in his pocket. We live in a messed up political society.
