So I've mentioned this before, but here is a fantastic article going into detail about the koch brothers, who fund the tea party organizations, among many others:

Well yea when you have major stocks in the oil industry. The sad part is the longer they scam the world the worse the damage is going to be when the turnover point hits. Think what's going to happen when all the sudden there's no oil on the market, and all that infrastructure sits and rots, along with all those motherfuckers money.
But no, I'm sure they are all prepared for that. There are many other alternative energy sources available, some I'm sure are highly confidential, and will not be allowed to surface until oil has run it's course.

they don't care, they're the 3rd richest people in the country. which is weird, why do they need more? I guess I don't understand the ultimate goal of accumulation of wealth.
everyone dies in the end anyway. |

I don't really worry about the changes these people want, there simply isn't enough of them to make a change in our country. The majority of us are smart enough, not to bow down to palin and the rest of the wackos. There will have to be a major Democratic fuck up to see a republican in the white house again anytime soon. Far too many people fear another bush.
Snowjeeper, the problem isn't that they need more money, but with their wealth they want actual power and control over something more than their businesses. Even when these people die off they will pass the money to the next generation of sickos. The only thing I don't understand is how money can push you past the point of caring about the environment and future generations. It must be a sad life to have your mind that clouded by wealth. |

You know what the sad part about Bush is though? It seems like everyone forgot about him. His administration fucked up the country and had a huge part in putting it where it is now, and yet a very large percentage of people act like he never existed. I don't think Obama is the best president ever, but people seem to honestly think he caused all of this within 6 months. It's Impossible to fuck up a country that quickly without some sort of sick and twisted dictatorship.
I've even had some people stand behind Bush. I thought at this point everyone agreed he was a fuckup.
