Mormon leader's remarks spark outcry on same-sex issues – CNN Belief Blog - CNN.com Blogs
Boyd Packer, the president of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles In his address on October 3, Packer suggested to Mormons, among other things, that allowing people in same-sex relationships to marry “would legalize immorality, as if a vote would somehow alter the designs of God’s laws and nature,” and that any attraction between people of the same sex can – with enough faith – be changed. Some suppose that they were preset and cannot overcome what they feel are inborn tendencies toward the impure and unnatural,” he said. “Not so! Why would our Heavenly Father do that to anyone?” Guess what jackass, homosexuals have been around a fuckton longer than your delusional cult. |

I don't know the subject of the article, but I already like this Master Mormon.
I would love to hear of his opinions when applying the 'Why would our Heavenly Father do that to anyone?' logic, to any number of reasonably perceived ailments and mortal burdens. Why would our Heavenly Father give us hunger? Why would our Heavenly Father create bombs? Why would our Heavenly Father cause gum disease? Why would our Heavenly Father make us choose between Coke and Pepsi? Why would our Heavenly Father allow the Philadelphia Flyers to win the Eastern conference last year? Why would our Heavenly Father make the week 7 days long but the weekend only 2? Why would our Heavenly Father let us live only a matter of decades, when trees last for centuries? trees! Why would our Heavenly Father think that mere faith was some how enough? What a fucktard.

Let me know if I'm recalling this correctly, but wasn't the Book of Mormon translated in three months using golden plates hidden behind a curtain?
I have respect for religions and I try not to criticize them, but when one of these bats**t crazy SOB's starts spouting off nonsense like this I have to look at what it is they believe and say, "Does anything this person says have any bearing in reality whatsoever." For Mormons, I'm sorry the answer is no. Now...stop having kids! Your TV shows suck!

One of the things I get a kick out of is when the winning team claims that god was on their side or some variation thereof, like giving god credit for their win. Two questions immediately come to mind: 1) What's god got against the other team, and 2) Didn't they just basically accuse god of fixing the game? Isn't that illegal?
