"destroys the ability of the regime to strike back"
Righttt, as if there won't be immediate retaliation to american/ally interests in the region… and with the closure of the straits of Hormuz would spike oil prices to unseen levels. Not to mention all the other countries and groups that would get involved to collectively fuck the world

Well, I am not too worried about the republicans comments... And no I don't agree with going to war with Iran. At any rate "Obama" is still the president and commander and chief and the democrats still have a small majority in the senate...Last I checked the the house of reps can't take the country to war with out the presidents consent...
After the last two wars we are in no shape to take on Iran from a military stand point. I do believe they are interested in nuclear power for more than just peaceful purposes. The final solution for the mid east problems is to find a viable alternative fuel, if we put the effort that we put into developing the bomb, we would probably have something now.... If I could believe that Iran would only use nuclear weapons for self defense and not transfer the technology to terrorist than it wouldn't bother me for them to have nuclear weapons. I understand the history, and how the current regime came into power even with that I don't trust them.
Why is Iran not pursuing advanced nuclear technology, why the old model that produces wepons grade plutonium? I will admit that I am not well read on this subject.....I use to really follow all of this but the 2nd Iraq war really crushed my interest in these sort of things.... |
