You can get a giant PDF of the entire chart here. Really interesting stuff, regardless of your take on Christianity. ![]() ![]() [/QUOTE]

And before anyone gets all whatever about this being an attack on Christianity, it isn't. Although coming from Sam Harris, I guess it's easy to assume that. The point to remember is that literal belief in the infallibility of the bible (fundamentalism) is a minority attitude even in the US, however much they may loudly want you to believe otherwise. And it's beyond minority practically into non-existant everywhere else. Most of the arguments against the christian religion are only a problem for you if you are a fundamentalist. And if you're a fundamentalist, the problem's been getting worse and worse since Galileo.

the bible isn't merely "a book" . not in the sense that it is one book. It is a series of scriptures written by many different people. also, different things were excluded and added to the books at different times through history. I think the people who want to accept the bible as the full direct word directly from god himself are complete fools. Politics throughout the ages altered the bible in very significant ways. Rulers of nations and popes inserted changes to suit their short term political needs at the time. I think with the bible, you should get the basic message of the word, not focus on every damn sentence and word. that, and almost completely forget about the old testament.
