Atheism is too hard to define for me to subscribe to. For some, it is the absolute certain belief that there is no God. For others, it is the pure definition; a simple LACK of belief. WHy is it so hard to understand. Atheism means absence of belief in a deity. Does not means FAITH in disproving your superstitious belief system or any other in the world. DO you believe in Zeus? No? Then you're an atheist of that belief system. That is all. Is it so ahard to grasp? Or just because you're a believer you just can't fathom a life with any superstition?

You need to prove the (absurd) logic of your belief system...don't try to make me dispove something You made up....lol Nice try...but it's an old trick.

Atheist means unbeliever. Its done that way on purpose. Without any belief (in yourself for instance) you are doomed.

Well see, even they where negative about it. So say someone believes in "humanity" or a "collective soul" then what would call this belief in a higher power that is not directly a deity?

The way it stands written there is no middle ground, either you believe in a deity or you are doomed, right?

How would I call it? A belief system...something you made up to try to explain the much complex questions of life.
that' doesn't make it true. does it?
The BELIEVERS were negative about it...A word is not negative or positive...it's just an explanation we attach to an action. the opinion of that action generally depends on our intelligence, culture, flexibility...and superstition if present.

i think you have mistaken me for someone else.

my belief is this and it is far from 'superstitious':

in the study of knowing absolutely everything there is to know (and i mean absolutely every last damn thing,) humankind is a long way from closing the books.

until every last inch of heaven and the human spirit has been identified, documented and scrutinised to exhaustion, there is still a small (perhap insignificant) probability that a deistic entity exists.

in fact, the mere presence of such a concept could be the very existance you so vehemently choose to deny.

Do i believe in Zeus? about as much as i do in any other religious / cult / popular figure head. does this mean i 'know' it / he / she never existed? of course not; how could i 'know'?
