OMG STOP.
Obviously gay people are disgusting. I mean, you're out trying to shoot an enemy when a gay guy sneaks up on you and rapes you. Now, as you lie on the ground in pain, the enemy finds you and kills you. Clearly this will happen once gay people can be open about their lives. Because keeping secrets from your unit is the best way to be bonded with and trust them. Here's some Lady Gaga talking about it :O YouTube - Lady Gaga - Don't Ask, Don't Tell |

They should tell if they are gay. Technically they should be treated as a different group of people like women are. I do not know much about military, but I am guessing a woman goes through different procedures...ect than a man. Well a gay should too. Gays are men who think they are attracted to the same sex. This drives them to act feminine...ect not fufilling thier duty as a male soldier. My opinion- Gays should not be in the military to begin with, be citizens of this great country, or exist. It is a state of mind, an attention whore state of mind.

thank god they finally woke up in washington. it is an absolute disgrace that in a time when we are fighting two wars we have Americans who want to serve their country , yet aren't allowed. when the military's own research on the topic says that it will have no effect on the battle effectiveness or cohesion of military units. it makes no sense to continue a senseless policy.
my biggest question is: whatever happened to the integrity of Senator John McCain? he's really lost his grip in things in the last few years. He used to be seen as a beacon for justice and non ideological good senator. One who used his senses. He has come out strong against the repeal of DADT when he used to be in favor of repeal. He's flip flopped on just about every single issue in the last few years. He used to stand for something. he used to stand for sanity in the GOP. one of the only ones. apparently the radical right has got to hi and changed him. he has sold out all of his integrity and beliefs. he has lost any shred of credibility |

no. ever since the recession there has been absolutely no problem with recruitment. they've been way over quotas for recruitment for the past few years. They've actually become alot more picky and stringent in who they accept recently. In many areas of the military these days its darn near impossible to even get in. For example, officers candidate school in the navy. Used to be you could rather easily get accepted into naval OCS out of college with a bachelors degree. Nowadays its almost impossible. I speak from experience on that one
