I thought we could keep the oil fields and just sell the land back to the mexicans. We'll even include all our Krispy Kremes and fast food restaurants in the deal.

150 yard is pretty far in the water. And I don't blame the cops and fire fighters because they are not trained to be life guards. If anything coast guards should be more to blame. Anyone can blame others for not going out there, but I bet 99/100 people here would have just watched a crazy man kill himself...

If the person was calling for help and struggling, I bet there would be a much different reaction from the officials and observers. A trained lifegaurd would have a hard time bringing in someone that didn't want to come in, so I don't blame un-trained people for not risking their lives to save a guy that could easily save himself if he wanted. |

I like how "75 witnesses couldn't understand why authorities looked on" when I'm thinking to myself, "I can't understand why 75 people looked on at authorities looking on a drowning man".
Those 75 witnesses did the same thing the cops and firefighters did. |

lol yeah exactly. Its the worlds mentality that "hey its not my job". The older I get the more true it seems, sigh. On the other hand some of them wouldn't be capable of saving a drowning person, especially if they wanted to drown in this case.
