I'm wondering if the fact that he was suicidal was known to everyone prior to the rescue? The news castor only said he had told his mother he wanted to kill himself.. so to 75 onlookers he would have been percieved as a normal man in dire need of help? Which is a shame that no one responded had that been the case. 2 men in the water could have easily gone out there safetly even if he was suicidal. I dunno...
