Wow! I can't believe what I am reading in this thread.

The guy was clearly mentally ill.

Society is totally fucked! A girl in her 20's had to go and get his body out of the water. WTF. No such thing as heros anymore I guess.

Those 75 witnesses did the same thing the cops and firefighters did.
Remember this is Merica we're so fat they should have used two heffers for floatation. Then again they're probably all out of shape and going to die.

What's heroic about saving a suicidal twit, let him die worlds over crowded anyway.

I'm with you on this one. I would've at least swam out there and asked the motherfucker to stop making a big deal and go back to shore.

And when he freaks out cause he thinks you're going to stop him and pulls you under? Seriously you leave suicidal fucks alone.

Or after you saved him, he will come after you for saving him and keeping him in this miserable life. Then, he will try to kill himself again. So whats the point? Let him do it the first time...

Exactly I'm all for giving them the bleach to drink or the razor to slit their wrist.

I'd stay 10 meters away and just ask the retard what the fuck he's doing and ask him if wants to come back to shore/needs help to get back to shore. If he says leave me, fuck him.

I wouldn't push the point. Just say, "yo dood wanna come back to shore?" He says, "FUCK YOU I WANNA DIE." "Okay, bye."

I'm wondering if the fact that he was suicidal was known to everyone prior to the rescue? The news castor only said he had told his mother he wanted to kill himself.. so to 75 onlookers he would have been percieved as a normal man in dire need of help? Which is a shame that no one responded had that been the case. 2 men in the water could have easily gone out there safetly even if he was suicidal. I dunno...

A man standing in the water really doesn't appear to be in a dire need of help but that's just my perception of it.

Mandreas duly noted you'd just go for a leisurely swim and be all "good day mate fancy a pull into shore" him "fuck you the dingo ate my wallaby" you "vitaminavegimite" . Once again my perception of it.
