hahaha! No you're totally right.

But I'm just trying to piece together how the situation looked from shore. Guess its not really all that important but had he not been suicidal (which I'm assuming most people would't be aware he was) the whole situation would be fucked.

And if he didn't look like he was struggling.. why would there be 75 on lookers?

And what kind of dumbass needs an hour to drown themself?

haha I guess nobody at that beach knew what the hell they were doing.

Why the prejudice? We just don't fucken say that shit down here. I've been working at the koala wrangling farm for 7 weeks now as a wombat kicker and not once heard a "dingo ate my wallaby" call. I have heard a "argh, stringray barb got me" but I'm not sure what happened to that guy.

I wouldn't even think twice about a guy standing shoulders deep in 60 degree water. I've watched my looney brother swin half way across the lake in water that was hardly above 50-55. It took the idiot a hour to susscum to hypothermia, at that point he probably just collapsed and drowned.

The thing that gets me is why an island with (swimming?) beaches doesn't have kind of trained SAR personal, because of funding? That's bullshit, the sheriffs office in fucking lincoln Ne has SAR divers. They don't even have life guards? Granted with the water that cold the LG's would be off duty, but I would think an hour would be plenty of time to find one and get him down there. Coast guard could'nt get a boat in there....my ass....I'm sure they have rubber beach landing craft on every cutter.

Sounds like typical gov't finger pointing BS, keep passing the buck till the sheeple forget what even happened....ewwww look shiney!!!
