Well we can't exactly not care for private lives. For the certain GOP individuals who preach the moral high ground and then turn out to be hypocrites when they commit the same acts they condemn. Those people should certainly be reviled.

As for Weiner, yes I don't care much for his private life because it wasn't illegal and he doesn't really preach morality but I do care how he is dragging down the rest of the Democratic Party.

Yes I agree that for many situations, a person's private life shouldn't be considered. Thomas Jefferson, JFK, and Bill Clinton have all done less than admirable things in their private lives but were some of the greatest Presidents we've had.

You do realize there are people in between those praising Obama as a savior for keeping us at nearly 10% unemployment for 3 years and those heralding Bush as some sort of patriot for needlessly going into Iraq on false pretenses. Not everyone spends every waking hour on Huffington Post or listening to Rush Limbaugh. If it was up to me, I would have preferred to never had Bush OR Obama leading this country.

Honestly, I'm surprised he confessed. I had read that someone analyzed the EXIF data from the picture and it didn't match the other pictures posted, so it easily could have been a hack.

He may resign, but I'll tell you now that he doesn't need to. He'd win another election in his district today, tomorrow, and any other day of the week because of the consistent results he gives his constitutents and not because of his schlong. At the end of the day, if he doesn't resign, it's up to his constituents and nobody else.
